Yay, me!
Comments(6) As of this upcoming Sunday, I will be 30 and officially a member of the Big Girls Club! 
In honor of this, I’ve decided to do something many of us mothers and wives are guilty of not doing, taking time out for me! Being a single parent, PTA member, Girl Scout mom, and full-time employee, the only time I actually have for myself, I when I go to bed. Unless a fever or monster has other plans for me! 
So, bright and kinda early Saturday morning I am booked for a spa day, complete with a massage and lunch. I will leave from there to have dinner at my favorite steak house and then check in to a 
hotel. Of course, I have a King suite that features a marble Jacuzzi tub! 
After my 36 hours of pampering, i’ll check out at noon and be back home in time to bake cookies with my daughter for Santa! As much as I would LOVE to do all this on my actual birthday, I still have to be a mom! 
This will be my first time away from my daughter, just to relax. My girlfriend, that will be babysitting, told me that I am not allowed to call and check on her. She knows from experience that even when I’ve had to be away for work, I’ll call 3-4 times a day to check in, so she’s used to it. It will be strange, but nice to not have to make meals for anyone or clean up any messes for almost 2 days. I may not know how to behave!
